Injured Najmul Hossain Ruled Out of Final Afghanistan ODI

Series Decider

Bangladesh received a massive blow ahead of the series decider against Afghanistan on November 11, 2024, after skipper Najmul Hossain was ruled out of the contest due to a groin injury.

Test Squad Uncertainty

Najmul is unlikely to be available for the opening Test against West Indies, which is scheduled to begin on November 22, as the injury is expected to heal only after two weeks.

Replacement Leaders

Mehidy Hasan will lead Bangladesh in the third game against Afghanistan, and he is also expected to lead the Test side in West Indies in Najmul's absence.
