Pakistan, India Champions Trophy Row Deepens

BCCI Refuses to Tour Pakistan for 2025 ICC Champions Trophy

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally received a letter from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirming their team's refusal to travel to Pakistan for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. An email from the International Cricket Council (ICC) to the PCB on November 10 revealed BCCI's stance.

Hybrid Model May Not Be the Solution

The PCB is rejecting a hybrid model where India's matches could be relocated to the UAE. This solution has been put forth as a possible fix but it remains uncertain whether it will be acceptable to both parties.

Urgent Talks with the ICC and Government of Pakistan Ahead

Following this development, the PCB is set to engage with the ICC for clarity on the issue. Additionally, they will be consulting with the Government of Pakistan to determine the next course of action.

Champions Trophy Countdown Begins Amid Confusion

Despite announcing on November 11 the start of the 100-day countdown to the February 19-March 19 championship, the situation remains unresolved. Other problems, such as scheduling issues and controversies, continue to hinder the smooth approach to the competition.
