After a dominating win, South Africa brought their A game to Gqeberha, completely outshining India in a thrilling T20I match at St George's Park. The home side won the match by taking the series 1-1 with two games left to play.

India's middle order continued to crumble under pressure, with Tilak Varma and Axar Patel being the only batsmen to reach 20. Hardik Pandya, dropped twice in the 20th over, managed to score 39 runs off 45 balls, but it was not enough to save the team from a collapse.

Spearheaded by Marco Jansen's excellent spell, South Africa's bowlers completely outplayed India's batting line-up. Jansen took the first wicket of the match, clean bowled Sanju Samson for a duck, and went on to take four wickets, including Tilak Varma and Axar Patel.

Tristan Stubbs once again proved himself to be a match-winner with a blistering 47* off 41 balls, which included four fours and a six. His innings was supported by Gerald Coetzee, who scored 19* off 9 balls to take the team past the target.

The match was also significant for the fact that it was the first major cricket match to be played in Gqeberha since the shutdown of the pandemic. The home crowd was in full attendance, cheering and stomping their feet throughout the match.
