ICC Considers Tweaks to ODI Cricket Rules

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is exploring changes to the One-Day International (ODI) format. The proposed rule changes aim to provide more opportunities for bowlers and improve the game's pace.

Two-Ball Rule in ODIs

The ICC is considering scrapping the use of two new balls in ODIs. The current rule allows bowling sides to use two new balls, but they can only use one ball from the 25-over mark. The proposed change would allow bowling sides to choose which ball to continue with, potentially introducing reverse swing.

In-Game Clocks in Test Matches

The ICC is also considering introducing in-game clocks in Test matches to manage over rates and complete 90 overs in a day.

Under-19 World Cup Format

The ICC is weighing the possibility of shifting the Under-19 World Cup to the T20 format, which has already been successful in the women's tournament.
