Bangladesh to Play Two T20Is Against UAE in May

Bangladesh will play two T20 Internationals against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in May. The matches are scheduled for May 17 and 19 at 7:00 pm local time.

This series will be Bangladesh's second bilateral T20I series against UAE in the last three years. The two teams previously played a two-match series in Dubai in September 2022.

The Emirates Cricket Board's chief operating officer, Subhan Ahmad, expressed excitement to host the Bangladesh team and emphasized the importance of providing opportunities for the UAE national side to play against quality opponents.

The series will serve as an ideal preparation opportunity for UAE ahead of the ACC Men's T20 Asia Cup. Bangladesh Cricket Board's chief executive, Nizamuddin Chowdhury, stated that the series will give them an opportunity to prepare ahead of a jam-packed international calendar.

The matches will also strengthen the cricketing ties between the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) and provide quality entertainment to cricket fans.
