IPL 2025: Majority of Overseas Players to Return for the League

Key Players Expected to Return

  • Pat Cummins, captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, will return to lead the team in the remaining two league matches.
  • Travis Head, explosive Australia and SRH opener, will also return home after the final two league engagements.
  • Kagiso Rabada and Gerald Coetzee of Gujarat Titans will be available for all league games.
  • Jos Buttler, among the top five scorers of this season, will return to Ahmedabad in the next 24 hours.
  • Liam Livingstone, Lungi Ngidi, Nuwan Thushara, and other Royal Challengers Bengaluru overseas players should return.
  • Faf du Plessis and Tristan Stubbs of Delhi Capitals are expected to take part in the rest of DC campaign.
  • Devon Conway of Chennai Super Kings has assured his return, but the confirmation of Rachin Ravindra is still pending.

Players Unlikely to Return

  • Josh Hazlewood, Australian pacer, will not return to India due to an injury issue.
  • Mitchell Starc is believed to be rattled by the turn of events and may not return.
  • Jake Fraser-McGurk of Delhi Capitals is unlikely to come back to India.
  • Josh Inglis and Marcus Stoinis of Punjab Kings are unsure about their return, with Inglis having been picked for the WTC final.
