IPL Resumes in Bengaluru with Emotional RCB vs KKR Clash

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to resume in Bengaluru with an emotional clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the M Chinnaswamy stadium on Saturday.

After an eight-day break, RCB will look to continue their impressive form, sitting pretty at second spot in the points table. KKR, on the other hand, will be seeking to turn their fortunes around after a disappointing campaign so far.

Key Matchups

  • Virat Kohli's return to Test cricket has been met with a simple Instagram post, and he is now in for a rousing tribute from the RCB faithful who have plans of turning up in white.
  • Ajinkya Rahane has been phenomenal in the PowerPlay this season, scoring 223 runs in this phase at a strike rate of 187.39. Should he arrive early, Rajat Patidar might be inclined to chuck Bhuvneshwar Kumar at him.
  • Kohli's scoring rate against spin has seen a marked improvement recently, setting up an intriguing match-up against two of the best in the league from KKR.
