South Africa Names Squad for Zimbabwe Tests

South Africa has announced a 16-man squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo. The squad includes several uncapped players, including Dewald Brevis, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, Lesego Senokwane, Codi Yusuf, and Prenelan Subrayen.

Uncapped Players in Squad

• Dewald Brevis, a 22-year-old batter who has impressed in junior and franchise cricket, including scoring two centuries and three 50s in the 2022 under-19 World Cup.
• Lhuan-dre Pretorius, a 19-year-old fast bowler who was the leading run-scorer in the 2025 SA20 with scores of 97, 83, and 59.
• Lesego Senokwane, an uncapped batter.
• Codi Yusuf, an uncapped fast bowler.
• Prenelan Subrayen, an uncapped off-spinner.

Return of Experienced Players

• Zubayr Hamza, who last played a Test in February last year, has been included in the squad.

Players Rested for Zimbabwe Tests

• Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram, Kagiso Rabada, Ryan Rickelton, and Tristan Stubbs have been rested for the trip to Zimbabwe.
• Nandre Burger, Gerald Coetzee, and Lizaad Williams, who are on their way back from injuries, will also not be part of the squad.
