Karun Nair and Jitesh Sharma Set to Leave Vidarbha
Karun Nair and Jitesh Sharma, two key batting mainstays for Vidarbha, are set to leave the team ahead of the upcoming season. Nair, 33, is planning a return to his home state, Karnataka, while Jitesh, 31, is expected to join Baroda.
Nair, who has been with the Indian team in England, has been a crucial player for Vidarbha, scoring 863 runs in the Ranji Trophy and topping the charts in the Vijay Hazare one-day competition with 779 runs. He is likely to make a comeback to the national side after eight years.
Jitesh, on the other hand, has had a successful IPL season with Royal Challengers Bengaluru and is expected to play in both red-ball and white-ball formats for Baroda.
