Pant is Reinventing Cricket – Greg Chappell

Greg Chappell believes Rishabh Pant is redefining the way cricket is played, with a batting approach that breaks away from conventional norms. Pant's game-changing ability was on full display in the Headingley Test, where he scored centuries in both innings.

Chappell praised Pant's ability to score runs at a fast rate, giving his team time to win matches. He also commended Pant's innovative shots, saying "some of the shots that he played probably weren't in the MCC coaching manual when I last looked at it."

Pant made history by becoming only the second wicketkeeper-batter after Andy Flower to score a century in each innings of a Test match. Chappell drew a parallel between Pant and Adam Gilchrist, another iconic wicketkeeper.

Gill's Promising Start as Captain

Chappell also felt Shubman Gill had a good Test as a skipper and will only get better. He praised Gill's performance, saying "it was a terrific Test match… Shubman Gill had a great start to his career as a Test match captain."
