UP Warriorz Appoint Abhishek Nayar as Head Coach

UP Warriorz have appointed Abhishek Nayar as their new head coach ahead of the fourth season of the Women's Premier League. He will replace Jon Lewis, who held the position for the first three years.

Abhishek Nayar is a respected figure in Indian cricket circles, bringing a deep understanding of the game and a proven track record in player development. He has years of experience across various coaching roles at both domestic and international levels.

Nayar's Experience

Nayar was a part of the championship-winning Kolkata Knight Riders side in IPL 2024 as their assistant coach. He was also part of the coaching set-up of India Men when they won the Champions Trophy earlier this year.

Nayar's Stint with UP Warriorz

This will be Nayar's second stint with the Warriorz side, having been part of their off-season training camps after the first edition of WPL.
