Bangladesh Skills Camp Moved to Sylhet from Dhaka

Bangladesh's national team preparation camp ahead of the Netherlands T20I series will be shifted to Sylhet from Dhaka, according to Bangladesh Cricket Board officials. The camp was initially scheduled to begin in Dhaka on August 6, but the skills part of the camp will now be held in Sylhet.

The team will begin their camp in Dhaka on August 6, with fitness training, before moving to Sylhet for skills training. The coaches are expected to arrive around August 11-13, and the team will train in Sylhet for a few days before playing the series against the Netherlands.

Bangladesh is looking to sort out their batting problems ahead of the series, which has been a major concern for the team in recent times. Head coach Sohel Islam believes that the team's cultural approach to batting is a major factor in their struggles.

"We tend to judge a player based on just one or two performances, rather than consistency," Sohel said. "We need to break out of this old mindset and train our players differently – especially mentally."

Sohel also spoke about the importance of consistency in batting, saying that a player who scores big in one or two innings must also reflect on their technical flaws and ask themselves where they want to be in the long run.

"We're trying to train players to instill that hunger in them," Sohel said. "We're trying to set a standard, and they are responding."
