Earthquake stops play briefly in Mirpur

The second Test between Bangladesh and Ireland experienced a temporary halt of play on Day 3 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium after an earthquake of 5.7 on the Richter scale shook Dhaka and surrounding regions.

The incident occurred during the second ball of the 56th over of Ireland's first innings. Play was stopped for approximately three to four minutes as players moved to the boundary line and spectators showed visible signs of panic.

Play resumed following the stoppage. At the time of reporting, Ireland had reached 233/7 in 78 overs, trailing Bangladesh's first innings total of 476 by 243 runs.
