SMAT Super League and Final Shifted to Pune

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has moved the Super League stage and final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy from Indore to Pune.

Thirteen matches, including the final, will be played between December 12 and 18 at two venues: the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium and the Dr. DY Patil Academy ground in Ambi.

The shift was required due to a shortage of hotel rooms in Indore. The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association informed the BCCI it could not accommodate eight teams, their support staff, and the broadcast crew, with hotels largely booked for wedding functions and a major doctors' conference.

The Super League will feature the top two teams from each of the four groups in the current league phase. These eight teams will be divided into Groups A and B, each playing three matches. The Super League concludes on December 16, coinciding with the IPL auction, with the group winners advancing to the final on December 18.
