Washout takes DSG provisionally to the top of the standings

Durban Super Giants provisionally moved to the top of the SA20 standings after their home game against MI Cape Town was washed out due to incessant rain. Only four overs of play were possible after the visitors opted to bowl.

DSG's openers, Devon Conway and Kane Williamson, raced off to a quick start, reaching 37 in those four overs before rain hit Kingsmead at 15.50 local time. The umpires waited for nearly two hours but when the weather didn't relent, the match was officially called off. The washout gave holder MI Cape Town their first points of the season after they opened with a defeat to the same team two nights ago.

Brief scores: Durban Super Giants 37/0 in 4 overs (Devon Conway 24*) vs MI Cape Town. Match Abandoned
