Pooran, Smith blitz powers MICT to first win of season

MI Cape Town secured their first win of the season in their sixth game, beating the Joburg Super Kings in a rain-affected match. Cameos from Nicholas Pooran (33 off 15) and Jason Smith (22 off 7) guided MICT to chase down the revised target of 128 in a 12-over contest.

The match faced delays due to rain, reducing it to 12 overs per side. Batting first, JSK started strongly with James Vince and Faf du Plessis hitting early boundaries. However, MICT fought back with quick wickets, though du Plessis maintained momentum with a 19-run over. Another rain break halted his progress, and he was dismissed soon after. JSK finished on 123 for 7, with Corbin Bosch taking 3 wickets.
