Tilak Varma ruled out of first three NZ T20Is

India batter Tilak Varma has been ruled out of the first three T20Is against New Zealand on January 21, 23, and 25. He underwent surgery for Testicular Torsion in Rajkot on Wednesday, January 7.

The BCCI confirmed he was discharged from the hospital on Thursday morning and is scheduled to fly back to Hyderabad on Friday. He is currently stable and progressing well.

Tilak will resume training once his symptoms fully resolve and wound healing is satisfactory. His availability for the last two T20Is on January 28 and 31 will be assessed based on his progress.
