Kalita replaces Sadhu for Gujarat Giants

Jintimani Kalita has replaced Titas Sadhu at Gujarat Giants for the remainder of the ongoing Women's Premier League. Right arm seamer Sadhu has been ruled out of the tournament with an unspecified injury.

Sadhu was yet to make an appearance for Gujarat Giants this year and has featured only seven times in the tournament across the last three seasons as her injury problems continue. Her last game for India was in the three-match ODI series against Rajkot over a year ago.

Kalita, an all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls right-arm medium pace, will join Giants for a fee of INR 10 lakh. She featured for Mumbai Indians 13 times across their two championship winning seasons in 2023 and 2025.

Meanwhile, all-rounder Pooja Vastrakar, who was sidelined due to a hamstring injury, has recovered and joined the Royal Challengers Bengaluru squad in Vadodara. RCB are currently the table toppers and have already qualified for the next round with five successive wins this season.
