ICC Annual Conference in Edinburgh from July 8

The International Cricket Council (ICC) will hold its annual conference in Edinburgh, Scotland, tentatively scheduled from July 8 to 11. The venue was confirmed at a recent online board meeting, with the meeting to be steered by ICC Chair Jay Shah.

The conference follows the Women's World Cup, scheduled from June 12 to July 5 in England. ICC members attending the final at Lord's are expected to proceed to Scotland afterward.

Key agenda items include the election for Associate Board directors, where three members from Associate nations will be elected to the 17-member board. Candidates expected to be in contention include:

  • Stephen Musaale (Rwanda Cricket Association head)
  • Dr. Rudie van Vuuren (Cricket Namibia president)
  • Neil Speight (Bermuda)
  • Sankar Renganathan (USA)
  • Current Associate members of the CEC, including Gurumurthy Palani
  • Sitting Associate directors Mubashir Usmani, Mahinda Vallipuram, and Imran Khwaja (Deputy Chair)

The elected term will be for two years.

The ICC recently conducted its board meeting virtually after postponing its March 25-27 meeting in Doha, Qatar, due to the ongoing West Asia conflict.
