Head, Klaasen hunt down 243 to give SRH fifth straight win
Ryan Rickelton's century went in vain as Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down the target of 244 with eight balls to spare and six wickets in hand, to stretch their winning streak to five games and return to the third spot on the points table. The fourth highest run-chase in IPL was powered by blazing half-centuries from Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen.

Brief Scores: Mumbai Indians 243/5 in 20 overs (Ryan Rickelton 123* (55), Will Jacks 46 (22); Eshan Malinga 1-29) lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad 249/4 in 18.4 overs (Travis Head 76 (30), Heinrich Klaasen 65* (30); AM Ghazanfar 2-51) by 6 wickets
Who won the match for Sunrisers Hyderabad? Eshan Malinga's spell through the middle and death overs proved decisive on the flat Wankhede track. The pacer conceded only 29 runs and bagged one wicket, providing the brief stutter that made the difference.
Rohit Sharma unavailable – Rohit was recovering from a hamstring injury, with skipper Hardik Pandya stating he'd miss "a couple of more games."
Powerplay fireworks – Will Jacks, playing his first game of the season, smashed a 22-ball 46 after being promoted to open. Rickelton matched him as the duo mustered 78 runs in the Powerplay. Nitish Reddy broke the 93-run partnership by having Jacks caught behind, and Malinga removed Suryakumar Yadav caught at fine leg.
Rickelton's record knock – The southpaw was particularly productive on the legside, hammering Harsh Dubey for 50 runs from three overs. He smashed 123 runs, the most by an MI batter, but the last eight overs yielded only 87 runs.
Head rides his luck – Travis Head was dropped by Naman Dhir on 2 at the boundary, and saw edges fly past fielders multiple times. He made them count with three sixes off Trent Boult in the third over, bringing up his half-century with another six despite Dhir's brilliant parry attempt.
Travishek at their destructive best – Head and Abhishek Sharma blasted 92 runs in the Powerplay – the joint-highest against MI. They raced to 126 in 8 overs, bringing the required rate to around 10.
MI fight back briefly – AM Ghazanfar dismissed Abhishek and Ishan Kishan off successive deliveries in the ninth over. Hardik got Head to scoop to extra cover as SRH slipped from 129/0 to 133/3 in 10 deliveries.
Klaasen snatches momentum – Heinrich Klaasen smashed Ghazanfar for 16 runs in the 11th over and punished Ashwani Kumar's short deliveries. Even as Boult and Pandya found the perfect wide full-length plan, Bumrah and Ghazanfar couldn't stick to it and were duly punished.
Where do the teams stand? SRH regained third spot with their sixth win. MI languish in ninth with their sixth loss in eight games. SRH host KKR on Sunday; MI travel to Chennai to face CSK on Saturday.
