HCA appoints Ambati Rayudu as Director of Cricket Operations
The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has appointed Ambati Rayudu as its director of cricket operations. The former India batter will oversee cricketing activities, development programs, and operational efficiency.
"His vast experience as an international cricketer is expected to bring professional insight and inspire the next generation of Hyderabad cricketers," the HCA said.
"I'm a firm believer that cricket should be separated from administration. My job is to look after players' welfare and to make Hyderabad a powerhouse of Indian domestic cricket that produces international cricketers," said Rayudu, who played 55 ODIs and six T20Is.
At a media conference with HCA president Amarnath and secretary M Jeevan Reddy, Rayudu outlined his priorities: "Corruption-free cricket with zero tolerance. Anyone found guilty will be reported to the ACSU and BCCI and blacklisted – be it a player, parent, selector or umpire."
He also promised a player contract system similar to what the Mumbai Cricket Association recently announced.
"I am here to serve cricket and our players, and take Hyderabad cricket to where it truly belongs," he added.
