Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder Tim David has been fined 30 percent of his match fee and received two demerit points for breaching Level 1 of the IPL's Code of Conduct.

David's offence relates to "using a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting." This occurred following an emotionally-charged last-ball win for RCB against Mumbai Indians in their first Raipur fixture.

David admitted to the offence and accepted the sanction imposed by Match Referee Amit Sharma.
