The Under-23 men's white-ball competition may be converted to the Twenty20 format. According to sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the tournament, currently played in the 50-over format, is set to become a 20-over competition going forward.

A formal communication has not yet been sent to the state associations, but it is learnt that the change in format is expected to come into effect from the forthcoming domestic season.
