RR pick Emanjot Chahal as Ravi Singh replacement
Rajasthan Royals have brought in Emanjot Chahal as a replacement for their wicketkeeper-batter Ravi Singh, who has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2026 due to a hamstring injury. Ravi featured in a single IPL game this season – against Delhi Capitals on May 17.
Emanjot, a 2004-born all-rounder from Patiala, bowls left-arm spin. He has featured in three first class matches for Punjab, where he has picked 11 wickets. Besides that, Chahal also scored 83 in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 game against Karnataka.
RR have made this acquisition one day out from their last league stage game against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede on May 24. RR still have their playoffs fate in their hands as a win will guarantee them the fourth spot.
