Allround West Indies make it two in two

Multiple players stepped up with significant contributions to help West Indies make it two in two in the Women's Tri-series in Ireland. Having won their first game against the hosts on Thursday, West Indies stepped up again just 24 hours later against Pakistan, brushing aside the Asian side by 25 runs.

Skipper Hayley Matthews set the pace with a quickfire 20-ball 40 featuring nine fours. Stafanie Taylor continued the momentum after Matthews' departure before falling for 39. In the death overs, Chinelle Henry (33* off 17) and Jannillea Glasgow (42 off 25) hammered the Pakistan attack to help West Indies finish with 199.

Pakistan's chase faltered early, losing three wickets in the first four overs. Henry castled Muneeba Ali in the second over after Gull Feroza departed in the first, and also removed Ayesha Zafar to leave Pakistan reeling at 28/3.

Pakistan managed 174/8 largely thanks to Aliya Riaz (37 off 28) and Fatima Sana (27 off 14) down the order, with Saira Jabeen contributing a 19-ball 30 earlier. However, West Indies always remained in control and closed out the contest.

Brief scores: West Indies Women 199/6 in 20 overs (Jannillea Glasgow 42, Hayley Matthews 40; Rameen Shamim 2-27) beat Pakistan Women 174/8 in 20 overs (Aliya Riaz 37; Chinelle Henry 2-13, Shawnisha Hector 2-21) by 25 runs.
