ICC appoints Dr Ros Rivaz as new independent director

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has appointed Dr Ros Rivaz as an Independent Director for a period of three years, extendable by another term.

Dr Rivaz currently chairs Anglian Water and UK Companies House, and holds independent director positions at Aperam SA and Victrex plc.

"Throughout her career, Dr Rivaz has been an active and engaged Board member… Her deep understanding of governance, corporate strategy, and operational effectiveness is complemented by her commitment to diversity and inclusion," the ICC said.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah welcomed the appointment, stating: "As cricket continues to expand its global footprint… her strategic insight, independent perspective, and commitment to strong governance will be invaluable."

Dr Rivaz has also supported programmes encouraging young women to pursue STEM education and contributed to various charitable and community projects.

Reacting to her appointment, Dr Rivaz said: "I look forward to working alongside the ICC Chairman, fellow Board members, and the wider cricket family to support the continued growth of the game."
