Mosaddek Hossain on ODI Recall: "I'll Try to Create an Impact"
Bangladesh batting all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain is aiming to make an impact in the upcoming ODI series against Australia, viewing it as a first step toward earning a spot in the 2027 World Cup squad.
Recalled after four years following a strong domestic season, Mosaddek has been in impressive form for Abahani Limited in the Dhaka Premier League. He has scored 310 runs in six innings at an average of 77.50 and a strike rate of 129.17, including a century and two half-centuries, plus 12 wickets.
Mosaddek said selectors clarified his role at No. 6 or 7: "I will try to create an impact if I get the opportunity. Those who bat at six or seven, I don't think their stats matter much. Impact is the most important thing."
The three-match ODI series begins June 9 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
