Siraj rested for Ireland, England T20I tours

Mohammed Siraj has been rested for the upcoming T20I tours to Ireland and England, the BCCI confirmed on Tuesday. The decision was made to manage Siraj's workload ahead of an intense schedule.

"Following discussions between the BCCI Medical Team and the team management, Siraj has been advised a period of rest as part of his workload management programme," the BCCI said in a statement.

Siraj played all 17 games for Gujarat Titans in the recently-concluded IPL, picking up 19 wickets. Both he and Prasidh Krishna were part of the Indian Test XI that defeated Afghanistan in the one-off Test in Mullanpur.

Prasidh has played only five T20Is for India, all in 2023. Despite winning the purple cap in IPL 2025, he was not part of India's T20 World Cup-winning squad earlier this year.

India will play two T20Is in Ireland on June 26 and 28, followed by a tour of England with five T20Is and three ODIs.
