Munro, Fletcher, Holder Power LAKR in Rain-Hit Clash
Colin Munro smashed 64* off 40 balls (6 fours, 4 sixes), while Andre Fletcher (34 off 17) and Jason Holder (28 off 12) delivered quick cameos as Los Angeles Knight Riders chased down San Francisco Unicorns' 150/7 in a rain-curtailed 14-overs-a-side match in MLC 2026.
Munro attacked immediately, hitting two sixes and a four off Ghulam Mudassar in the first over. Fletcher matched the tempo as LAKR reached 50 in four overs. Fletcher fell on the final ball of the Powerplay, holing out to long-off. Rovman Powell made 17 before falling to Peter Siddle in the 10th over, but LAKR still needed to accelerate.
Holder exploded with two sixes and a four in a 23-run 11th over from Haris Rauf. Munro brought up his half-century off 34 balls in the 12th over, reducing the equation to 17 off 12. Holder then smashed Siddle for a six and four in a 13-run over before being dismissed, leaving five runs needed off seven balls. LAKR got them on the fourth ball of the final over, fittingly a boundary from Munro.
Earlier, Lhuan-dre Pretorius's 58 off 28 balls (4 fours, 5 sixes) anchored SFU's innings. Finn Allen (24 off 12) and Matthew Short (30 off 20) provided support. SFU reached 117/2 after a 20-run over from Holder but managed only 33 runs in the last five overs, losing five wickets.
Brief Scores: San Francisco Unicorns 150/7 in 14 overs (Lhuan-dre Pretorius 58, Matthew Short 30; Sunil Narine 2-33) lost to Los Angeles Knight Riders 154/3 in 13.4 overs (Colin Munro 64*, Andre Fletcher 34, Jason Holder 28; Peter Siddle 2-27) by 7 wickets (DLS Method)
