Sudharsan, Jurel, Rasheed put India A on top after Day 1

Sai Sudharsan struck a composed century before Dhruv Jurel and Shaik Rasheed's unbeaten fifties put India A in command on the opening day of the first unofficial Test against Sri Lanka A in Galle. After opting to bat, the visitors reached 333 for 4 in 86 overs at Stumps.
Sudharsan laid the platform with 132 off 175 balls, including 19 fours. He featured in an 82-run opening partnership with Ayush Pandey before Dilum Sudeera dismissed the latter. Sudeera then trapped Devdutt Padikkal lbw.
Sudharsan added 90 runs for the third wicket with Ruturaj Gaikwad, scoring 63 himself. Gaikwad fell for 22, lbw to Ravindu Fernando.
Chamika Gunasekara dismissed Sudharsan with the score at 217 for 4, which proved to be the last breakthrough of the day. Jurel and Rasheed added an unbeaten 116 runs for the fifth wicket. Jurel remained patient on 68* off 138 balls while Rasheed was more fluent with 53* from 92 deliveries.
