BCB seeks bids for six-match India series
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has put the television and digital media rights of the upcoming six-match white-ball series against India up for sale. A tender has been issued inviting expressions of interest, with the India tour in 2026 specifically mentioned.
The tender states: "The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) invites Expression of Interest (EOI) along with financial offers from reputable TV Broadcasters, Digital Platforms and Marketing Agencies for acquiring the Worldwide Media Rights of the following Bilateral International Home Series."
Series covered under the EOI:
- India Team's Tour of Bangladesh 2026 (3 ODIs and 3 T20Is)
- West Indies Team's Tour of Bangladesh 2026 (2 Tests)
- England Team's Tour of Bangladesh 2027 (2 Tests)
- Pakistan Team's Tour of Bangladesh 2027 (5 ODIs)
The EOI document will be available at the BCB office in Dhaka from July 2. Interested parties must submit bids by July 22, either via hard copy to the BCB Management Office or electronically at sponsorship.rights@bcb-cricket.com.
The series was originally scheduled for last year but was postponed due to diplomatic issues between the two countries. Since then, both the Bangladesh government and BCB administration have changed. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia recently stated that the BCCI would be guided by advice from the Government of India regarding the series.
