New Zealand quartet continue on casual playing contracts

The quartet of Finn Allen, Lockie Ferguson, Tim Seifert and Adam Milne have been awarded casual playing contracts by New Zealand Cricket for the 2026/27 period.

The four white-ball specialists are currently on casual playing agreements and will be available for the upcoming white-ball series against India at home, keeping them in the mix for the 2027 ODI World Cup, as well as the T20 World Cup the following year.

The immediate focus remains on India's tour, which includes five T20Is and five ODIs across a 25-day period in October-November.

Kane Williamson, who was on a casual agreement in the last cycle, is off the list after announcing his international retirement last month. James Neesham has taken up a domestic contract with Auckland, while Devon Conway and Blair Tickner returned to the central contracts list announced in June.

"We're delighted to add Finn, Lockie, Adam and Tim to our contracting programme for the next period," New Zealand Cricket selector Gavin Larsen said.

"Their skills are in demand around the world and we see that as a positive as they're able to add to their experiences and bring those back to our environment."

All four are currently featuring in Major League Cricket 2026: Seifert (Seattle Orcas), Allen (San Francisco Unicorns), Ferguson (Washington Freedom), Milne (Texas Super Kings).
