Bangladesh batter Litton Kumar Das has been ruled out of the remainder of the ODI series against Zimbabwe in Harare after failing to recover from a hamstring injury, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Wednesday.

Left-hander Parvez Hossain Emon has been named as his replacement for the second and third ODIs, while Litton will return to Dhaka to continue his rehabilitation.

"Litton had already missed the first ODI and is still not match-fit. He underwent a fitness test today and the outcome was not satisfactory. With back-to-back ODIs coming up, we don't think he will make sufficient progress to play any part in the series," Bangladesh team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan said.

Bangladesh trail the three-match series 0-1 after losing the opener, with the remaining games scheduled in Harare on July 9 and 11.

Litton is also set to miss the subsequent T20I series against Zimbabwe as he is due to feature in the upcoming edition of the Lanka Premier League.
