Tammy Beaumont to retire after India Test

Tammy Beaumont has announced she will retire from international cricket after the one-off Test against India, ending a 17-year career.

The 35-year-old played 260 games for England since her 2009 debut. With 12 hundreds, she is England's leading century-maker in Women's ODIs and was Player of the Tournament in the 2017 World Cup win, top-scoring with 410 runs.

She became the first England woman to score a Test double-century, making 208 against Australia in the 2023 Ashes. Beaumont is one of only two England women and five England players overall to have international hundreds in all three formats.

"Playing for England for nearly 17 years has been the greatest honour," said Beaumont. "This Test match at Lord's – our first ever women's Test at Lord's – feels like the perfect occasion to sign off."

She will continue playing domestic cricket.
