Cummins, Hazlewood, Lyon back for Bangladesh Tests

Australia have named a 13-man squad for the two-Test series against Bangladesh in August, with the return of Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon and captain Pat Cummins headlining the same.

The veteran bowling trio returns after their sporadic participation in the Ashes. Hazlewood missed the entire Ashes with an Achilles injury, Lyon underwent surgery after a hamstring injury in the Adelaide Test, and Cummins featured in only that game after a lower back stress injury. All three missed the T20 World Cup but returned during the IPL.

"Pat, Josh and Nathan have worked extremely hard to return from their respective injuries," chairman of selectors George Bailey said.

Michael Neser and Brendan Doggett have been left out following the return of the senior pacers. Offspinner Todd Murphy is also training with the squad as a reserve.

"While this is a 13-player squad, we have players prepared and available should any adjustments be required," Bailey said.

The two Tests, part of the World Test Championship, will be played in Darwin (August 13-17) and Mackay (August 22-26). Australia currently lead the WTC standings with a PCT of 87.50.
