Cremer returns for Namibia tri-series

Veteran legspinner Graeme Cremer has been recalled to the Zimbabwe squad for the upcoming T20I tri-series in Namibia. Cremer, who last played in the Super Eights fixture against South Africa in the T20 World Cup earlier this year, has recovered from a left-arm injury that kept him out of the home series against Bangladesh and India.

The 15-member squad, captained by Sikandar Raza, includes uncapped fast bowler Kundai Matigimu. The 28-year-old has played just 11 T20s but made his Test debut for Zimbabwe last year in a one-off match against South Africa. ODI and Test skipper Richard Ngarava misses out due to a lower back injury, while Tanaka Chivanga is sidelined after undergoing surgery for an Achilles tendon injury.

All three teams will play each other twice in the series, with the top two advancing to the final. Zimbabwe open their campaign against South Africa on August 29 before facing the hosts two days later.
