Aaryavir Sehwag Called Up to India's U19 Squad for Australia Series

Aaryavir Sehwag, son of batting legend Virender Sehwag, has received his maiden India U19 call-up for the three One-Day fixtures against Australia in Rajkot this September. The right-handed batter recently impressed for West Delhi Lions in the Delhi Premier League 2026, with his aggressive strokeplay drawing parallels to his father. He previously made headlines with a stunning 297 in the Cooch Behar Trophy 2024.

Wicketkeeper Anvay Dravid has retained his place in the One-Day squad following a solid 87 during the U19 tour of Sri Lanka in July. Neither Aaryavir nor Anvay feature in the two Multi-Day fixtures.

Leadership roles: Lakshya Raichandani will captain the One-Day side, with Yashbardhan Chauhan as deputy. The two swap roles for the Multi-Day leg.

Schedule: The three One-Day matches are on September 18, 21, and 23 in Rajkot. The first Multi-Day fixture runs September 27–30 in Rajkot, followed by the second in Ahmedabad (B Ground) from October 5–8.
