South Zone vs North Zone
South Zone recovered from 40/2 at stumps on day 1 (North Zone 195) to take a 90‑run first‑innings lead. After being reduced to 80/5, Tilak Varma and Shreyas Gopal forged a 175‑run partnership lasting more than 50 overs. Gopal was dismissed for 88, and Varma reached his century, guiding South Zone to the lead despite losing wickets at the other end.
Central Zone vs East Zone
East Zone started brightly, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi hitting seven sixes in a 161‑run opening stand. He fell at 92, and a collapse followed: Harsh Dubey took three wickets in quick succession, and East Zone lost their last eight wickets for just 66 runs. The teams ended the first innings level, turning the match into a second‑innings shoot‑out.
In Central Zone’s reply, Mukesh Kumar dismissed the opener early, and Rajat Patidar was out for 5. Aryan Juyal also fell to Mohammed Shami, leaving Central Zone at 43/3 at the end of the day.
