Kranti Gaud fined for ICC Code of Conduct breach

  • Offence: Level 1 breach of Article 2.5 – “using language, actions or gestures which disparage, or could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon dismissal.”
  • Incident: In the opening over of Sri Lanka’s chase, Imesha Dulani hit a boundary off Gaud. Three balls later, while attempting the same shot, Dulani was dismissed and Gaud gestured toward the pavilion, prompting the sanction.
  • Outcome: Gaud accepted the charges; no formal hearing was required.

Pakistan fined for slow over‑rate

  • Sanction: 5 % of match fees.
  • Context: Semi‑final against Sri Lanka; Pakistan were one over short of the target after time allowances.
  • Acceptance: Captain Fatima Sana accepted the sanction following the fourth umpire’s charge.
