Hasaranga Returns Home with Hamstring Injury
Wanindu Hasaranga is returning to Sri Lanka from the ongoing tour of England after suffering a hamstring injury.
The allrounder, who missed the series opener due to lower-back pain during a practice session, has been ruled out of the remainder of the three-match ODI series. He will begin his rehabilitation back home.
This setback adds to Hasaranga's recent history of injury-related absences:
- 2023 ODI World Cup: Missed the tournament due to a hamstring injury.
- 2026 T20 World Cup: Injured his hamstring in the opening game against Ireland and missed the rest of the tournament.
