- BCB chief selector Habibul Bashar expressed confidence in Shanto’s availability, noting that the captain is “feeling alright and overall in good shape.”
- Following the Test, Bangladesh will compete in an ODI tri‑series with Afghanistan and Zimbabwe from October 17‑23. The first two matches will be in Abu Dhabi, with the remainder in Sharjah. Shanto is expected to play a key role in the series.
