Preview Verdict

Mumbai begin their campaign with clear favourites on paper, buoyed by home advantage and a batting line-up capable of posting large totals. The presence of a player of Yashasvi Jaiswal's calibre gives them an edge, while their spin and pace resources should trouble Chandigarh's relatively unproven batting order.

However, Chandigarh's Manan Vohra-led side will look to frustrate the home team with disciplined bowling and patient batting. A day-by-day battle on the Wankhede track will decide who gains the early upper hand in a competitive Group D.
