South Africa Eye Lead in Centurion Test

South Africa continued to eat into Pakistan's lead on Day 2 in Centurion, adding 98 runs in the first session. Aiden Markram remained unbeaten at Lunch on 81, guiding the hosts to 180 for 5, trailing by 31 runs.

Pakistan managed to pick up key wickets of Temba Bavuma and David Bedingham, earning some respite in an otherwise tough session. The visitors' lead was reduced to 31 runs at the end of the session.

The session was marked by poor over-rates, with only 24 overs bowled. Pakistan's bowlers struggled to contain the South African batsmen, with Aiden Markram and Temba Bavuma cashing in on loose deliveries.

The first-change bowler Aamer Jamal was ineffective at the start of his spell, but managed to pick up a wicket later in the session. David Bedingham's innings was cut short when he nicked a ball to the wicketkeeper, bringing an end to a 70-run stand with Aamer Jamal.
