USA's Akhilesh Reddy charged under ICC Anti-Corruption Code

USA cricketer Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy has been charged with multiple breaches of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code and placed under provisional suspension amid an ongoing inquiry into alleged misconduct during the Abu Dhabi T10 2025 tournament.

The International Cricket Council, acting as the Designated Anti-Corruption Official on behalf of the Emirates Cricket Board, laid out three charges against the player, all relating to attempts to influence aspects of matches in the tournament.

Charges against Reddy:

  • Article 2.1.1: Attempting to fix, contrive or improperly influence the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of matches in the ADT10 2025.
  • Article 2.1.4: Soliciting or encouraging another participant to engage in conduct that breaches Article 2.1.1.
  • Article 2.4.7: Obstructing an anti-corruption investigation by deleting data and messages from a mobile device relevant to the inquiry.

Reddy has been provisionally suspended from all forms of cricket with immediate effect and has 14 days from 21 November 2025 to respond to the charges.
